The league schedule is out through March 1st. At that point each Int B team will have had 37 games and the Advanced Teams will have had 31-33 game depending on where they are in the 5 team rotation. The league tournament should be starting about the middle of March. The Int B tournament will start before the Advanced Tournament. The Advanced teams may have a couple of 3 game weeks in March to catch up to Int B so we can have our Championships on the same night if possible. Before starting tournament play each team will have 40 league games.

Sundays game might seem like a groundhog day, but they are actually the makeup games from December 4th when we had to cancel games when the rinks closed due to the rain and icy roads.

The New years Tournament fundraiser was a great success and raised over $6,000 for a local family facing the challenges of childhood cancer benefiting the Owens Miracle account for Owen Thompson. Owen was diagnosed November 9, 2011 with Langerhans cell histiocytosis a rare disease related to leukemia and lymphoma that derives from your bone marrow and effects blood cell production. I would like to say special thanks to the referee’s and scorekeepers who donated their time. It should make you feel great to start 2012 knowing the few hours you volunteered this weekend are part of something so meaningful and helpful. I want to thank the following business sponsors....Polar Ice Center, Florcraft, Affordable Used Cars, Polar Fuel, Forbes Storage, ServiceMaster Merry Maids, Home Town physical Therapy, RJG professional corporation certified public accountants, Play it Again Sports, Sport King, Neubert Law Office, Hoppner Law Office, The Blue Loon and Bruegger's. Thanks to all of you who participated in this weekends Charity Tournament. It was a tremendous success! Special thanks to all of your that donated time, goods, and money. We should have raised quite a fair sum for a very needy family. Special thanks to John Carter and his family for the countless hours he put into making this event happen.
